It looks like Sean O’Driscoll is favourite for the Crawley job.
Garath McCleary has completed his medical at Reading, despite being offered double his wages to stay with us. To be honest, tripling your wages and the chance to play at the top level means it’s not really a surprise.
Steve Cotterill will have to wheel and deal to try and add some balance to our still unhinged squad. But that’s a task made more difficult by our ownership situation – however, rumours are of a Canadian take-over, with Seymour-Pierce not saying a word, as you would expect. And Steve is still planning ahead – with friendlies at Villa and West Brom lined up.
Lastly, Arsene Wenger is (unsurprisingly) a fan of Financial Fair Play, hoping it will level the playing field and make it possible for clubs like us to win again.
