Been a while since we’ve done one of these, but given there’s a fair amount of conjecture and speculation flying around, after a roller-coaster season, we thought we’d show you just a few of the items being reported about us.
Luke Chambers has said a few goodbyes around the City Ground – and is worried that the uncertainty about our future could prompt an exodus (tell us something we don’t know). Of those possibly on their way, is Garath McCleary – wanted by Reading amongst others.
But one player making the right noises about staying is Adlene Guedioura – whether Wolves will allow it is another matter. And Dexter Blackstock has no plans to go anywhere.
The manager is looking forwards as well – planning a tour of the US. Hope it goes better than Joe Kinnear’s did.
Elsewhere, Newport are still looking to get Karl Darlow to play at Wembley, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink seems quite relaxed about the season just gone and target of the boo-boys, James Perchio is a fan’s favourite in the North East.
Lastly, how Roy Hodgson conquered Scandinavia – following a recommendation from Bob Houghton, who we defeated as boss of Malmo all those years ago.
