A few facts:
Southampton were way better than us. We created quite a few chances in the first half but if we had scored, then they would have moved into second gear and thumped us anyway. I’ve not seen the sending off, but even if it hadn’t happened, it wouldn’t have had any bearing on the result. Our tactics were wrong. Cotterill sounded lost in his post-match interview. On the plus side, Tudgay and Harewood look like they have the makings of a decent partnership.

Totallt spot on with assessment. i have tried to support SC but he doesnt seem to have a clue. why take off tuds and marlooooon to bring on two smaller out of match practice men then hooooof it at every opportunity.

the club is a disgrace and its all nigel doughty’s doing. Lack of investment, ambition and poor decisions have put this club back ten years. Doughty should just fuck off and take arthur and cotterill with him.
Tend to agreee with Ryan, the sooner Doughty moves on the better! This is the man who sacked Billy Davies who had taken us to the play offs in both seasons he was in charge, and whsoe teams for spells outplayed all and sundry!
Look at us since BD was sacked – a total mess, with the (two) managers who replaced him quite clueless tactically, motivationally and, in SMcC’s case, man-management wise too. And the money spent paying off BD and his backroom team, etc, could all have gone to BD to bring in at least one or two of the stellar signings he knew were needed to take us to the Premier. And, if we were in the Premier, then the financial benefits would have literally moved us into another league. Just look at Swansea and Norwich. Now that’s the way to run a club of our size and stature!
