News Roundup: we’re in the cart
As Gary Megson (who no-one likes) would say, “we’re right in the cart now” (whilst also complaining about player’s lifestyles and dark forces working against him).
Why?
Because Barnsley have just dumped us back in the relegation zone. It’s OK though – the club are offering anyone who went to Burnley a £1.90 per goal conceded refund. So that makes up for the humiliation then.
Meanwhile, Chris Cohen still believes we can stay up, despite the ever-growing injury list, while Marlon is desperate to come back and fire us to safety.
Despite the doom and gloom, at least two of our players have been selected for international duty, whilst one of our ex-players is being lined up as the next England boss.
Lastly, Chris Cohen (again) reckons we can beat Wolves on Saturday – not sure the bookies think so, but they will offer you a free £10 bet if you’re willing to risk it.

I think that’s a bit harsh seanyboy!
Chris Cohen is the hardest working player we have – if some of the other players put in as much effort as him we’d be half way up the league!

Perch and Cohen are (to my mind) the two most likely to match their words with effort. If only Lewis and some others (mainly in defence, but probably excluding Wes) would match their workrate then we would be in a far better position.
Let’s not forget that Cohen is a young man and if cornered by the journalist’s dictaphone, what do you expect him to say? And Perchio came out as captain and spoke on behalf of the players after a shocking match, and admitted as much. I don’t necessarily like it, but I can appreciate why they spoke out in such a way.
